Barefoot lunch is leading a happy life—transformational, creative, vital, aesthetic—one of excellence…of arête

Arête (Greek: ἀρετή), in its basic sense, means "excellence" of any kind: the act of living up to one's full potential.

Barefoot: relaxed, among friends, slipping off your shoes.

Lunch: Not too early for late sleepers or as formal as dinner…a casual affair with a friend, chatting about everything from health to memory, from childhood to old age. Not as sophisticated as Marcus Aurelius, but hopefully born from the same Stoic vein, mixed in with a healthy amount of Walt Whitman.

We sit down to a casual lunch under a tree and chat about life. Let the cool breeze blow over the tops of our feet: you there and me here comfortable in our own skins. If you’re lucky, you’ll have your feet on soft grass, or even more luscious, wading in a warm pool. Maybe your toes will feel the dirt or sand. And as we feel the Earth, we can exchange our thoughts, barefoot, relaxed, suspending closure and open to new ideas, exploring and sharing what is offered to us.

We explore performance improvement. not pedantic absolutes or dogmatic systems, but searching for natural, organic approaches that fits individuals, rather than a one-size generic answer or system.

Finding your arête

Coaching

Value focused, impact-centric focused on practical outcomes rather than any methodology. Grab your bento box, kick off your shoes and relax. What matters to you in the years to come? What are you focusing on right now?

Coaching will support you to open your life.
Fulfill your leadership potential at work and in the world. Tune your life to your own purpose and values.
Broaden the perspectives you bring to the challenges of your life.
Come into the present moment with more aliveness.
Have greater awareness of your own thoughts and feelings.
Become a better leader, partner, team member, parent.
Respond creatively instead of reacting by habit.
Act powerfully to meet your goals.

As a coach, I won't give you answers or try to solve your problems.

As a mentor, I will make suggestions based on my experience.
I will help you reach your destination by meeting you where you are, listening intently, and asking powerful questions.
I will challenge and support you as you work to develop your own understanding, direction, action steps, and accountability to yourself.

You will be led by your own understanding as you grow.

The agenda and the responsibility for your choices are always yours.
I hold you as naturally creative, resourceful, and whole.

How it Works

  • Sessions are 50 minutes by phone or video. All conversations are, of course, held in confidence.

  • Homework between sessions provides a focus for your developmental work.

  • Coaching is most effective in an ongoing coaching relationship. I generally meet with my clients twice a month for at least 3-6 months.

If you are interested in receiving coaching, I recommend for you to contact David. I took his coaching session, which was a positive and amazing experience for me. It is not a consulting, but by answering to his questions, you can find what you need! I had lots of discoveries on how to perform better at my job, what I should do to further develop my career, and so on. It had a positive influence on my life as well. At the end of a coaching session with David, you will feel great!
