Today’s Short and Sweet hint is for you to use social media in your recruitment. So many SMEs are underutilizing tools that their hands and fingertips use anyway but not using consciously for recruitment for their company.
For example, are you showing daily life at your company? Are you putting things on Twitter or LinkedIn? Are you posting your jobs? It’s so important when you have jobs opened to post them on social media. What you’re really doing is marketing that your company is growing.
More than taking time, the important thing is to be consistent. Even if you’re just posting once a week, or once a day, be consistent at posting things about your company on your chosen platform. Pick one platform that you can be consistent on, for example, pick LinkedIn. It has wonderful social reach, and you can show pictures of your company doing great things, you can post the actual job descriptions. That doesn’t cost you any money.
The important point is to make sure to build up your network of people that are interested in your company. So to do that, post regularly. Post things that may seem the same to you in a daily basis, but could interest other people. Inside your office might be very interesting for other people.
So to summaries, find a platform that you’re comfortable with. Be consistent, post about daily life, and then post the jobs that you have opened so that you can attract the best talent.
