For losing weight, there may be many ways to shock your body into responding, but that isn’t the sustainable method for long-term health and wellness. Long term, it’s constant exercise you enjoy doing, with components of aerobic, strength, and stretching.
For eating, stay away from processed food, foods high in sugar and salt. Eat balanced. If you’re comfortable to cut out some animal protein, then do that too, while making sure to get healthy balance of protein, carbs, and fats. Remember, your body needs them all for health and wellness. And as a personal note on excellent health & wellness: don’t smoke or do drugs. Watch the amount of alcohol you consume. Get a good night sleep, shooting for 7-9 hours. And a simple one often neglected, wash your hands.
If you do all this, you may still get sick, gain or lose weight. But in a nutshell, this is the common sense, sustainable approach to a life of health and wellness.
